Pre-Kindergarten

Capital Area Head Start (CAHS) offers a pre-kindergarten program to eligible Newport SD resident children from ages three to four. The goal of the program is to prepare children and families for success in school and life. The classes are designed to increase children's literacy, cognitive development, social-emotional development, as well as support health and well-being. Every child receives comprehensive services, including educational, medical, dental, nutritional, and family social services.
